This zine I found lying around the studio of graphics so I can only assume it was made by someone. I guess it was done for a fashion student. What most attracted me to this zine were the photos. Each one was a different stock and texture to the actual zine, the photos has a glossy finish where the rest was just a simple matt. I had no idea how this was done so I decided to look into it.
I went down to print and asked James if he knew and it turns out its much simpler than I thought. Its laminate paper that has been laid over the photo and only the photo. The only problem is its vert difficult the do this all by hand and that is what I will have to do when it comes to printing.
This isn't the proper way to do it I fear as the zine above I think was sent to a proper printers. I will experiment and see how well it comes out. I want to find more zines so I'm going to ask around and see where I can get them. Hopefully they come free!
