Amsterdam Zines// BIG Error, Loss of money, Learning Curve.

...............................................................................................................................................

My zines arrived today and annoyingly they came out terribly, so bad that I had to email and ask for a refund. This is most frustrating as I would love to just have these finished and in good quality. This effects my work schedule and I will therefore effect other briefs.

I need to revisit these and make sure the next print comes out fine. I still don't know how these came out so poorly. This has really made me think that when it comes to printing again these won't come out properly again. I think I need to talk to someone who is much more experienced and will insure these will come out properly.

I've learn't that there has been quite a big problem with the resolutions on my photos and that I am to blame for this error. This has been a huge learning curve for me and it pains me when i say I have lost £105 because of my actions.

When I got my photos developed, they developed them at a low resolution and I didn't think to check them. When on Indesign I didn't check the resolution because the photos looked fine on overprint preview.

The plan now is to rescan them in college and to make them massive. I will unfortunately have to print these again. I can't afford it but its going to have to be done at some point.

I am so very angry at myself for this and its very embarrassing. However, I will never do this again. This error will stay with me till the grave, I will always remember to check the resolution.
