Secret 7"// Final Photos

Secret 7" happens to be the first brief I have won as a graphic designer so it means a lot to me. I look forward to the exhibition next week in London. There isn't a massive amount I can say about this brief as it was very straight forward in what had to be done. The design was very straight forward and I feel that is what they liked about it.

"After analysing the lyrics to T Rex's 'Get It On' the lyric 'Bang a Gong' stuck in my head. After researching behind the meaning of this lyric I found it has a very strong reference to sex.

By making the jack lead phallic and the input yonic, I've been able to create meaning behind the song with guitar accessory imagery.

I believe my design is very much self explanatory and the colours help in supporting it.

It was when I decided to extend the brief and make it a full mock up I could really start experimenting..."

I then decided I wanted to extend the brief and properly mock it up. I looked on ebay and managed to find a pink 7" that I knew would be perfect. Printing was simple enough and the innersleeve was simple in that it just had the lyrics on. I think the final outcome is most effective and and the photos of the final mock up really work in showing off the design.
