Home Page
The website was to be one long page with tabs at the side to make searching easier and quicker. The website has been designed to be as legible and readable as possible so it is easy to get through and understand quickly. The home page has a quick section explaining what the organisation is about.
'Priority" Earth is a global campaign aimed at turning knowledge into acton. We all know that global warming is having a disastrous effect on our climate, but how many are prepared to make a difference?'
Manifesto
The Manifresto of 8 points is again easy to understand and to read. As you can see they are in the colour of the icons. Government, politics, business and you. This then leads you to committing your pledge. Below you can ind out what happens next!
Pledge
There are four boxes with each pledge and at the bottom of these boxes is 'sign here'. Once you have signed you can then confirm after putting you details in. You have the choice of either receiving a digital version of the priority pack or the actual version which will be sent to your home address.
Maps
Personally this is my favriote part of the website. Above you can see one example of the bar charts being put to use. Hover over one of the bar charts which are in different parts of the world and you can find out how many people in total have pledged in that part of the world.
The idea arose when thinking about the individuals pledging to change their lifestyle for a better world. It will never be easy and why should they when they think there are 1 in a million pledging? This is to let the people pledging know that they aren't alone. This will give them great confidence that them and the other member of Priority: Earth are making a big difference.
About
The 'about' section is similar to the home page apart from you learn that little bit more about Priority Earth and more about Al Gore who you could say owns the company! This is also where you find out how you gain contact with Priority Earth if you have any questions or enquirers.
Forum
The forum is where you can go to talk to people around the world that have pledged the same things as you. This is where you can go to remind yourself that you are not alone in trying to make a difference! Luke and I will not be mocking this up as there is no need. The actual website is all that is needed (mockup). The next stage is to animate the website and this will not be easy as we will be using After Effects, which is an Adobe program that both Luke and I have never used before. It will be good practise.
