Personal Photography Zines// Final Photos

I have thoroughly enjoyed this project and it has taught me a fair few things. From starting a brief and not knowing how I was going to print it sort of left this black hole to how this would turn out. I feel that sometimes this is how you have to approach certain things as you will then learn and experience new things.

When it did come to printing I can't believe how successful it all went. Everything printed off perfectly and when it came to stapling the pages together it worked out fine. The front and back cover was separate to the pages within, I used watercolour paper and then laminated it to give a clean and professional finish.

This was the most I have worked with vinyl and this also went to plan. I played by eye as for me this was the easiest way to go about things, at first anyway. Once I had done the first cover I then measured everything up and was able to make the vinyl level and consistent across all the zines.

This has got my inspired to work with zines more. Yesterday I got back from Amsterdam where I took a number of films. I am going to get these developed at the weekend and then make a zine that I will print out over the internet. Depending on how the photos look (they might not come out as well I could hope) I am going to send these zines around to see what people think.

I am very happy with how these look now, at first I wasn't too sure as the 2nd page was full of information about my photography and about the zines. This quickly annoyed me and I noticed this was not relevant and kind of embarrassing. This was fixed by simply making a cover up sheet. Which you can see in the photo above. This let the photos in the magazine speak for themselves without a long essay about them.

I can't wait to work again in this area again and once my photos from my recent trip to Amsterdam are developed I will be able to!
